Managing and resolving problems and making decisions is a critical part of the first line managers role and responsibility. Organisational problems are often complex and challenging, and first line managers must have the ability to navigate such problems and make decisions that are fair, equitable and balance the attainment of the organisations goals whilst maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This module is designed to equip first line managers with tools, techniques and approaches for effective rational problem solving and data driven decision making in their organisational context.

Participants will explore and analyse organisational problems and challenges they face and will develop strategies for managing problems in their own organisational setting.
